This week has been interesting in the NBA; a lot of exciting trades and contracts all over the league, as well as, of course, the "hot topic" LeBron James to the Miami Heat.

Tell me what you think of LeBron, his decision, and what you think that the 2010-2011 season will be like!

This should be a great discussion !

Marvin Mosca is a freelance photographer out of Orange County, California with two eyes, one lens, and loads of talent. Tha Blizzog! sat down with this local artist to find out what puts his camera into focus.

Question:
"What is your inspiration for photographing?"

Response:
"One: The Father of fine arts:  GOD" (smiles)... And Two: Everything that i see with my naked eye (laughs)... A drop of water bouncing in a puddle... the roaring waves of the sea... the unspoiled alignment of the stars, the remarkable lights of the city and most of all a subtle but captivating smile."

Question:
"Why did you choose the pictures that you gave me for the feature? What is the significance behind each one?"

Question:
"What would you like to do with your photography talents?"

Response:
"What would I like to do with it?... Start a business of my own or work for someone... Like be one of the professional photographers in a big company. If that doesnt work out, maybe just freelance and sell some of 'em (laughs)."

Question:
"Last question: Is there anywhere that the readers of Tha Blizzog! can view your portfolio or gallery?"

Response:
"Yes, I made a website for my pictures; you can check it out at http://www.captainbackfirephotography.com

How to Produce Hip-Hop:
Versitility is crucial to producing hip-hop music. Increasing your technical knowledge by learning the various forms of composing or creating music is the best way to expand your versitility. Music production has only a few main avenues such as sampling, mixing, and composing. Sampling, using a portion of an existing song or composition over a hip-hop beat, is very popular and it is commonly used as the main melody of a song. Mixing is mostly used by DJs, and consists of literally mixing more than one song together smoothly to create a variation of one or more songs. Lastly, composing is another method, which is what I use to create my beats. Composing is literally writing music or building a music track, starting from stratch. Taking a kick drum and recording it, then adding a snare drum or hand clap, a bass line, a synthesizer, etc. until you have created a music track that has a beat and a melody and is formatted to have an artist express their talents through rapping or singing.

For all of us that are fans of the LA Lakers, whether you watch games casually whenever you can or you endulge all of your senses in the purple and golden glory this franchise has to offer, we all have one thing in common; we want to see this team hold up yet another championship trophy for the west coast.

So, what happened in Phoenix on tuesday? Most of us don't want to remember, but here's a short, painful refresher... The Lake's came out ready to play and the Suns came out ready to win. The normal ongoing characteristic of Laker basketball was notable in the first half as it was a bit of a struggle because they had trouble getting in sync offensively as a whole. The starting five were off to a slow start; Pau Gasol was being pushed around under the basket on both ends of the floor, and Kobe was nearly absent in the first quarter, but he completely dominated in the second quarter. Phoenix felt confident in their high pick-n-roll play and continued to run it all night confusing Andrew Bynum each and everytime. Phoenix ended the half on top by involving more than three-quarters of their squad. The third quarter finally rolls around and the Black Mamba continued to step up his game, but the rest of the team continued to step down. Kobe ended the third quarter with 31 points bringing the lakers within arms length of getting the 'W'.

Regardless of your preference between the Phoenix Suns and the Los Angeles Lakers, I think we can all agree that the referees wanted Phoenix to win even more than Alvin Gentry wanted to win. Bad call after bad call put the Lake Show in foul trouble at the very beginning of the fourth quarter. Three consecutive high pick-n-roll plays in a row resulting in nine straight points sealed the deal. The Suns took the lead and the win as Kobe looked confused by his teammates' lack of effort in putting the ball in his hands.

What's going to happen on the court in game 5 and can Phoenix stretch the series to game 7?

Let me know what you think in the blog section!
